Sian Bowen is one of those women, who against the odds is now a fledgling, but incredibly talented, artist based near Falmouth specialising in fine art painting in a range of mediums with a focus on equestrian art.
Sian started painted commercially 5 years ago but due to ill health had to cease trading until her health improved. Now, stronger than ever, Sian has re-launched her business teaching art to small private groups and individuals as well as selling and exhibiting her art commercially.
Sian trained as both an artist and a teacher giving her the essential skills to create product for her business. She approached Outset Cornwall to help support her with the fundamental business elements such as marketing and planning, and has worked with her enterprise advisor to fine tune her business offering.
“Sian has worked incredibly hard to re-launch her business these last few months, and it is lovely to see that she is doing so well,” says Pam Sekula, one of Outset Cornwall’s Enterprise Advisors. “Working in partnership with agencies such as Pentreath has enabled Sian to get the maximum current and ongoing support available.”
Sian’s art is featured in several galleries across the County and she is fast becoming recognised as one of Cornwall’s premier artists, especially in equestrian circles. She specialises in teaching people who have low confidence levels with painting, but welcomes enquiries from budding artists whatever their experience. With our beautiful County as a backdrop, Sian’s clients will certainly have lots of inspiration to draw from during her courses!
Sian has worked with Outset Cornwall for 6 months fine-tuning her business offering and we are delighted to see that she is now doing so well.
