Selena Govier came to Outset Cornwall to help kick start her business, ‘The Baking Bird’, and has never looked back. Creating a range of 17 mouthwatering, unusual cupcakes, each with their own added surprise twist – a sweet gooey centre!

Selena wowed crowds at the recent Cornwall Food Festival on Lemon Quay, Truro, with her impressive display of ornate, sticky cupcakes which simply flew off the shelves, forcing her to make double the quantity she thought she would need.

With flavours such as Peanutter (crunchy peanut butter sponge filled with gooey caramel and topped with delicious chocolate frosting), Jammy Dodger (fluffy vanilla sponge filled with raspberry jam with creamy vanilla frosting topped with a mini jammy dodger) and Apple Crumble Custard (apple, raisin and cinnamon muffin filled with lashings of custard topped with vanilla frosting and crunchy crumble) it is no wonder Selena sold out and enjoyed lots of enquiries for weddings and special occasions.
